World Travels

It is my goal to walk on every continent before I leave this planet. Yes, that includes Antarctica. Of course I have had plenty of experience marching around North America. I have set foot in almost every state in the US including Alaska and Hawaii (one place I fully intend to revisit). I have also been to Central America (not technically a continent), Asia, Europe, and Africa. Still need to explore South America, Australia, and Antarctica. I have been traveling my whole life. I started out as an army brat never living any where more than three years. I attended 12 different schools in my life, 3 in one year. As a child I envied those children who had roots. They had what I wanted a house that didn’t change and family living near by to grow up with. But God was shaping my life in a different direction. Even after I married, the travel bug was still in me. I could not afford to travel and my husband had a single steady job so we didn’t need to travel. To satisfy this travel bu...

Dream of My Son

God has given me many dreams and the interpretations of these dreams. This one was special to me. I hope it will bless you. Dream: My Son August 23, 2005 I dreamed my son was sick and in the hospital. The doctors didn’t know what was wrong with him so they wanted him to stay over night. I was looking for his room at the hospital. I knew his room was on the 2nd floor so I tried the elevator. When the doors of the elevator opened, there was no 2nd floor only empty space. I looked down and saw the first floor way below and looked up to see the third floor, but I could not find the 2nd floor. I tried several times to use the elevator going up and down but I was unable to find the 2nd floor. I was beginning to get frustrated, and anxious, I was afraid he would be scared or even die and I wanted to be with him, to comfort and hold him. I started looking for the stairs determined to climb the two floors and find my son. I searched frantically but could not find them. Sometimes in our lives we...

My First Blog - Health Insurance Problems

Okay, here it is folks, my first blog. I want to be an author but have been hesitant to start a blog because I had never read one nor am I sure show they work. Today I am taking the plunge! I have no idea where this will lead but at least it's a beginning. My first topic is health insurance. Why health insurance? Because yesterday I was suppose to have a major operation and even went so far as to arrive at the hospital and sit in the waiting room only to have the doctor cancel the operation because they had not yet gotten approval from the health insurance. So it was either pay for it myself (maybe up to $40,000.00) or wait for the insurance approval. I just hope they don't think that this surgery is optional or otherwise unnecessary. In the mean time, I wait. Have any of you had similar experinces? How did you handle it? Should I complain to the insurance sompany (which by the way is Tricare the military medical insurance)? What good would it real...
